Find your unique voice in a noisy world
Even before lockdown, staying motivated was a challenge. I lost my job that I had for the last 10 years and the prospect at starting over was not floating my boat. I love to stay productive so I turned to my creative side and begin looking online as the next phase in my development.
Heavily influenced by the successful authors on Medium like Ayodeji Awosika, Darius Foroux, Jessica Wildfire, Brianna Wiest and Tim Denning to name a few, I began my own creative journey as a writer and artist.
Like many who start this journey, the beginning can be deathly hard. The work to result ratio is depressing as 14-hour days still resulted in little to zero financial results for months. With so little to show for the output effort, to quit or not to quit becomes the question.
As a natural introvert, I love working from home. I would stay inside for days if I did not force myself to go outside once in awhile. (Flashback: Sheldon Cooper, Big Bang Theory, equating taking a few breaths of air outside of his apartment door for “outside” activity).
Three devices, a working internet and the occasional chocolate was definitely my version of heaven. Who knew Pay Pal could become my best friend. You know you have shopped too much when you are on a first…
