It has been a weird year.

The pandemic has redefined what is normal. The internet blew up as life transitioned from brick and mortar to digital. From the comfort of your chair, you can have the world delivered to your door and in the colour of your choice.

As a natural introvert, working at home was a dream. I planned my time, executed my chores, and occasionally remembered that I needed to get some sun and fresh air.

Once I got back to working regular hours, life changed again as I began to strike a work/life/side hustle balance.

The biggest lesson I have learned and am still learning is that I still have a lot to learn. I have tried to do things my way and was getting little results. It was only after making a decision to up my education, start back at the fundamentals, and connect with mentors, that I am finally starting to see some traction.

I thought I knew so much, but I was fed up with getting nowhere. Determined to try a different tactic, I signed up for personal critiques. I sent my work to mentors, and they sent back their reviews.
That was what I needed.
