The Actions I Am Most Proud Of In 2022

Progress started when I stopped chasing results

I am an old dog who love learning new tricks.

Life is far more interesting when one stays curious and stays interesting when one keeps mentally and physically active as well.

I never saw myself as an action taker. However, that was probably the most valuable lesson burned into me for 2022.

Back in September 2022, I undertook a 30-day writing challenge, followed by a 30-day drawing challenge. Two months later, I had learned a lot about the cost of staying committed, learning along the way and doing what needed to be done. Writing daily was way easier than drawing daily but the benefits of both challenges were priceless.

When I first started my writing and art journey, progress was slower than a snail during rush hour traffic. I though I was putting in the work.

Boy, was I wrong.

I was putting in some work. Okay work. Sporadic work. But I was spending more time trying to work the system, than getting better at wording my system.

I was getting overwhelmed in the sea of to-do’s, must-do’s, have-to-do’s to be successful than actually honing my skills. Once I did the challenges, my thinking flipped.
