Stop Trying So Hard To Have It All Figured Out
What’s the worst that can happen?
People Pleasers by nature are over thinkers.
You don’t mean to be but your sensitivity to the emotions swirling around you sends you into fix-it mode, as you just want it all to harmonize once again.
The problem arises when you start to over anticipate what you think you need to do.
You assume what others need and have dutifully decided that it is your responsibility to meet those needs.
Overthinking becomes second nature.
- If they are unhappy, that’s on you.
- The failure is all yours.
- You missed a clue.
- You messed up.
Now you are in a spiral of beating yourself up for getting it wrong and before you know it, you are overthinking as you over analyze again.
The cycle, as exhausting as it is, can be broken and here are a couple of tips. .
It is never all about you
You are not a mind reader. To put such expectations on yourself is not a good use of your mental space.
Just because you would like something does not mean everyone else will too.
