My Favourite Place In The World
It is not a place after all
Every continent is immersed in its own beauty.
From the lush, dense tropical jungles to the frozen tundras, each location is a spectacle to behold. While I would not personally want to explore every nook and cranny of this amazing planet I call home, I am awed by the sheer magnificence, both natural and man-made, that exists.
Trying to choose one favourite place is like trying to choose one flavour of Baskin Robbins. With that much choice, I would never have to settle or get bored.
If I had to choose, however, this piece of terra firma, where I currently reside, is my favourite place.
Almost 22 years ago, me, my husband and our young family pulled up our roots in the big city and headed east to a small county that jutted out from the top of Lake Ontario.
It was mostly an agricultural community that had been handed down and faithfully farmed from generation to generation. Scattered among the rural towns were a thriving colony of artists and other creators, retirees, vast wineries, and several mom-and-pop small businesses. There was something for all manner of pocketbooks.
