Here is how I would use it

The only regret I have now in my life is the dollars wasted on a misspent youth.

I love stuff, and I have certainly accumulated more than my fair share over my lifetime. With age comes taste change, meaning more stuff, meaning more taste change, meaning more stuff, rinse, repeat, repeat, repeat. Before I know it, I am now working to keep Mastercard in business. Less stuff and more debt. A life and financial lesson I am painfully and, unfortunately, still learning.

Part of the cycle is seeing the big stuff that cost $$$ as being out of reach. With that narrow mindset, I end up going for the small rewards and disregarding ever enjoying the potential bigger picture. Dreaming big is impossible, so why bother? Settle on the smaller constellation prize. That is as good as life is going to get.

While I wished I had practiced better financial habits in my youth, the one truth I have come to appreciate is that it is never too late to change. I do have to hustle more since my time is precious, but at least I still have the health and ability to hustle.

Money, in essence, is a tool of the trade. With it, you get to make an exchange for time, health, goals, dreams…
