Missing: Passion. If found call me!

How your suffering will lead to the answer

What is your passion? Do you ever get tired of trying to answer that. We are led to believe that if we could just connect with that one great thing that is meant to be our golden ticket in life, we will be eternally indoctrinated into the millionaires’ club.

A steady diet of conflicting theories doesn’t help either. If it is easy then it is your strength but if you are not challenged then you are stuck in your comfort zone. Work a 4-hour week but you have to hustle every minute of your day to build your dream. Sigh! No wonder pharmaceuticals and liquor stores are the most profitable niches today.

In The Path Made Clear, Oprah Winfrey shares some of the wisdom that got her to where she is now. One of her defining moments was when she was a news anchor for a television company. She was not happy in the position but could not quite put her finger on the nagging voice. Demoted to a talk show position, Oprah went on to conduct an interview and in a moment of clarity, declared that was the last day she had a job. She found her passion. She found her reason that ignited a bonfire in her. From that day on, her work was no longer a job but a gift that she unleashed on the world.
