What my weight issues taught me about life management
I have always struggled with my weight. Can I hear an Amen! I do know what I have to do. I just don’t want to do it consistently. I eat reasonably healthy, hate to exercise and have an ongoing affair with chocolate.
Confession aside, my struggle taught me valuable lessons. I resonated with four mindsets that sparked my personal momentum. Doing this has made more impact on my life in 7 months than the last 7 years.
Statistics for loosing 100 pounds at a moderate pace is probably over a year. Tell that to someone with that much to loose and the rely might be, “that’s too long” as they go back to watching Netflix with a box of Oreos.
Way too often, we talk ourselves out of doing what we need to do because the rewards are too far into the future. The energy required is too demanding. We want the reward just not the effort to achieve it. Sounds familiar, as you hit the snooze button for the third time? However, ask yourself:
❖ Will you be alive this time next year?
While life is unpredictable, most of us expect to say yes to that question. Well, if it’s a yes, then why not be 100 pounds lighter?
